St Eds Softball Falters; Dodgers Get Their Shot Tonight



The St Edmond softball team fell one step short in their bid for a repeat state tournament appearance. In a Class 2A regional final, the 4th ranked Gaels lost 5-2 to the 2nd ranked Earlham Cardinals. Starting pitcher Amanda Lansman struck out 11 batters in the loss, and the Geals got runs from Maggie Harvey and Jessica Kuebler. Head coach Paul Hunt says despite the loss, the team can take pride in the state of the program

Tonight, the Fort Dodge Dodger girls get their shot to qualify for the state tournament. They will host a Class 4A regional final vs LeMars at Harlan Rogers park. Gametime is at 7:00pm, and can be heard on Sunny 99.7.
