FD Council Moves Forward with Smaller Trash Containers
The Fort Dodge City Council will move forward with plans to obtain smaller trash and recycling containers after the city received several complaints about the current 95-gallon ones. During a workshop, the council agreed to purchase some new 45-gallon containers, which will allow some residents to obtain smaller ones. While it is not know exactly how many containers would be purchased, the council discussed purchasing 150 total; 75 for trash and 75 for recycling. The council is expected to vote during the July 28 meeting. In other business, the council approved a contract extension for city manager David Fierke through June of 2018.
