The U.S. Postal Service has been reducing post office hours at several area locations, and Titonka in Kossuth County is the latest to join that group. Titonka residents learned yesterday that beginning in October, daily service hours will be reduced to four hours per day on weekdays and just 45 minutes on Saturdays. The new weekday hours will be 9:00am to 1:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 9:45am. The lobby where individual mail boxes are located will remain open 24 hours a day. Titonka joins other communities including Gilmore City, Dakota City, Bradgate, and Bode that have had hours reduced recently.
