Good News for Animals Involved in FD Neglect Case

The Fort Dodge Police Department has provided an update in an animal neglect investigation. Assistant Chief Kevin Doty reports that as of July 31, 35 cats and 9 dogs were removed from the residences at 310 and 312 G Street in Fort Dodge. Each of the nine dogs that were removed are in the care of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic. After their grooming is complete, they will be licensed and moved to a new home. In addition, all 35 cats removed have been adopted out and found new owners. Doty says the department continues to work with the Webster County and Fort Dodge City attorneys to determine whether any charges should be filed in the case.
