#1 Dodgers “Locked In” Heading Into Semifinal Match Up Wednesday Night

State Semifinal Softball is on your radio tonight, as #1 Fort Dodge meets 4 seed Waukee. The Dodgers advanced after they handled Bettendorff 7-0. The Dodgers had a complete performance., pounding out 14 hits, playing nearly mistake free and got a “gem” from Jalen Adams in the circle. 8 different Dodgers had hits in the game. Tory Bennett and Jalen Adams had two hits each, TK Doster and Maia Davis both had three hits.

Now the Dodgers turn their attention to #4 Waukee in the State Semifinals. Waukee advanced in walkoff fashion edging defending State Champs Cedar Rapids-Kennedy 9-8. After throwing a no hitter in the Bettendorff win, Jalen Adams immediately started focusing on the next “rung on the ladder”. She says that her team is locked in for tonight.

It’s a turn around of less than 24 hours for both teams. That can be tough with little to no time to prepare. However, Dodger Coach Andi Adams says in tournament play it’s about her team being the best version of themselves.
