18 Year Old Female Suffers Life Threatening Injuries In Weekend Shooting In Fort Dodge

Police are investigating a weekend shooting that occurred in Fort Dodge. The FDPD issued a statement Sunday Afternoon regarding the incident. The shooting happened shortly after 2 AM Sunday in the 400 Block of South 14th St. According to the Police Dept. statement , An 18 year old female was the only person shot in the incident. She sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Unity Point Fort Dodge then transferred to a Des Moines hospital. Police say the victim was in a vehicle when the shooting happened and the shots came from another vehicle. The Fort Dodge PD and Iowa DCI are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Fort Dodge Police Dept.
