The victim in the weekend shooting here in Fort Dodge has died. 18 year old Jlynn Beason passed away from injuries she suffered after being shot shortly after 2 AM Sunday Morning. Subsequently, 18 year old Fort Dodge resident Denharrio K. Lewil is now charged with 1st degree murder after he was originally charged with attempted murder. Police say Lewil shot Beason on South 14th St. here in Fort Dodge while she was sitting in a vehicle. The Fort Dodge Police Dept. released a statement regarding the murder charged and credited witness cooperation and timeliness of information provided as the reason the arrest was able to made promptly.
