4th District Congressional candidate and Irwin native Bret Richards appeared on “Dodger Daily” with Rob Jones on KVFD AM 1400. Bret spoke a variety of topics during his appearance on the show. He talked about being the candidate for the common people as he said that he himself was a common man and the average Iowan. He went on to pontificate on the disconnect between career politicians and the people they represent. When asked about the 4th district race being a “log jam” with several candidates he said that competition is a good thing. He acknowledged he is a bit of a dark horse or underdog candidate and he is working to increase his exposure and visibility with voters of the 4th district. Below are his comments about partisan differences slowing progress in government and his comments about solutions to healthcare issues.
