#3 Hawkeyes Down #16 Tar Heels By Double Digits Tuesday Night

In a game heard on “Iowa’s Favorite Country” K97, 3rd ranked Iowa took care of #16 North Carolina 93-80 Tuesday. Hawkeyes had a strong start holding UNC to 31 in the 1st half and led 40-31 at the break. Hawks would score 50 in the 2nd half in route to the win. Iowa shot 43% from 3 point range and they were +7 in turnover margin. UNC had 5 players in double figures, led by a team high of 17 from Garrison Brooks. For Iowa, Jordan Bohannon led the way with a game high 24, one of four Hawkeye players in double figures. All American, Luka Garza had a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. Iowa remains unbeaten on the young season, they take on Iowa State Friday night.
