4A State Quarterfinal Game Between Valley & Dowling Canceled

The Class 4A State Quarterfinal game that was scheduled for Friday between West Des Moines-Valley and Dowling Catholic has been cancelled. According to a press release from the West Des Moines School District, the cancellation is a result of multiple Valley players testing positive for Covid-19. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Drake University Stadium. The IAHSAA has confirmed that Dowling Catholic will advance to the State Semifinals as a result of the cancellation. Dowling has won 7 cnsecutive State Titles which is the 2nd longest active streak of its kind in the nation.
