A Fort Dodge Icon Will Be Laid to Rest This Week

A celebration of a life is planned for this Friday for a Fort Dodge icon, the Honorable Albert Habhab.

According to his obituary, Judge Habhab died on Saturday night at the age of 98. He served in World War II, was the mayor of Fort Dodge during the sixties and early 70-’s before being appointed a district court judge in 1975. He would later be appointed to the Iowa Court of Appeals. He retired in 2003.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home with the celebration of life planned for Friday at 11:00 am at Friendship Haven.
