Alexis Ross Up For Ms. Wrestler of the Year

A Fort Dodge Senior High School wrestling standout is up for the title of 2022 Dan Gable Ms. Wrestler of the Year.

Alexis Ross is one of seven ladies in Iowa up for the honor.

Ross just won at the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association girls tournament in Coralville. 

Her nomination and the nominations of the other wrestlers were given to the IWCOA from high school coaches. The honor is presented by Fareway Stores Inc and IA Wrestle.

The general public can vote once per day until February 8th at www.IAWrestle.com

The IWCOA has selected 12 coaches and officials to serve on the committee to choose the winners and the fan vote will count as the 13th vote to break up any tie.

The awards banquet will be held at the Fareway Conference Center in Boone February 22nd.
