Algona Punches Ticket To UNI Dome With Win Over Greene County.

The 3rd ranked team in Class 2A Algona cruised to a home win over Greene county 48-15 to earn a trip to the UNI dome. The bulldogs would take a 21-0 lead after the 1st quarter. The running game for Algona was the difference racking up over 400 yards rushing and 7 rushing TD’s. Wyatt Wegener would score 3 times on the ground for the Bulldogs giving him 23 rushing TD’s on the season. Algona will advance to play OABCIG Saturday Nov. 16th at 4PM in the Class 2A State Semifinals.  Here’s postgame comments from Algona Head Coach Andy Jacobson.
