Several area football players were named All State selections in their respective classes. In 8 player, Newell-Fonda LB Hunter Christansen was a 2nd team selection. In Class A, Manson NW Webster Punter Carson Bower was named to the 1st team. St. Edmond teammates WR Parker Oswald and Lineman Brock Stanek were 2nd and 3rd team picks respectively. Manson NW Webster LB Chris Krueger and Bishop Garrigan DB Kellen Murphy were 3rd team selections.
In 1A, Southeast Valley Junior DL Aaron Graves was named to the 1st team, it is his 3rd All State selection in as many seasons. South Central Calhoun LB Brennan Holder was named 1st team, an impressive feat after missing the first two games of the season. Holder had 3 teammates join in him on the list as well. RB Blake Mcalister and Lineman Carson Pibal as 2nd team selections and LB Jayden Soard was named to the 3rd team. Pocahontas Area Lineman Dane Johnson garnered 2nd team honors.
In 3A, the Webster City tandem of Lineman Truman Klein and DB Tyler Olson were 1st team with RB Trey Mathis selected to the 2nd team. Humboldt standout Caden “Mad Dog” Matson was named 3rd team after playing QB, defense and returning kicks.
Fort Dodge with three Class 4A selections, Safety Sam Daniel was named 2nd team. RB “Downtown” Dayson Clayton was named 3rd team despite being banged up much of the season. Tyler Schreier was named 3rd team return specialist.
