Anderson Suspended From Sheriff Duties In Calhoun County

Calhoun County Sheriff Scott Anderson has now been suspended without pay. A judge granted the suspension after a removal petition was filed by the Calhoun County Attorney’s Office Tuesday. Deputy Jeff Feldhans has been named acting sheriff in the interim. The petition for removal was filed Tuesday after the Calhoun County Board Of Supervisors met and discussed the matter. Anderson was arrested over the weekend on charges of assault on persons of a certain occupation and domestic abuse assault. He pleaded not guilty to the 1st charge Monday and a continuation was put on the domestic abuse assault charge. Anderson also faces allegations that he sexual harassed a woman who formerly worked as a dispatcher in Calhoun County. A court hearing is scheduled for later this month in Calhoun County as the next step in the removal process.
