Area Baseball & Softball Report From Tuesday Night

Tuesday Night saw a bevy of area teams in action on the baseball and softball diamonds. The Fort Dodge Softball program opened up ranked #1 and they showed why as they cruised 13-1 over Sioux City-Heelan. St. Edmond baseball moved to 2-0 on the season on the back of another great pitching performance. The Gaels took down North Union on the road 10-0. Grant Heldorfer was dominant on the hill throwing a 1 hit shutout. The Gaels pitching staff has given up just 1 run and 1 hit in two games.
