Area Football Coaches Sound Off After The 1st Round Of The Playoffs

The first week of the playoffs for high school football teams around Iowa is in the books. Area coaches took to “Sunny” 99.7’s  “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” Saturday Morning to give the reactionary comments to the 1st round. It was a mixture of reactions as some coaches were able to convey the joy that winning in the postseason brings, while others had to face the stark realization of a season ending loss.

On 105.9 “The Beach” South Central Calhoun cruised in the 1st round downing Sioux Central 46-7. The Titans gained nearly 400 yards of total offense. QB Cole Corey accounted for 3 total TDs, Blake Mcalister and Brennan Holder each had a rushing and receiving TD. The Titans will host Dike-New Hartford on Friday in the 2nd round.
