Friday Oct. 4th marks week 6 of the season and the 2nd week of district play. The regular season after Friday will be 2/3 complete so that makes week 6 , a week of tremendous importance. Teams are looking to stay in the hunt for the district title, some looking to stay in the playoff picture, some just looking for a win to get on the right track to jump start a late season push. The Alpha Media family of stations have 4 games on the agenda for Friday October 4th. Every game begins with the pregame show at 6:45 PM and will be 7 PM start times. All 4 of the games are available streaming live on the internet here at our website. Below is a look at each game.

“Sunny ” 99.7 St. Edmond hosting Sioux Central- The Gaels have lost back to back games but they look to bounce back in this one. It’s homecoming for St. Edmond so that brings an extra element of excitement to the game. The Gaels have been bitten by the injury bug and looking to find some answers as a result of that. St. Edmond is currently sitting at 2-3 so they could use this one to even their overall record but even more so to stay in the district title race.

105.9 “The Beach” South Central Calhoun hosts South Hamilton- The Titans have steamrolled each of their 1st 5 opponents this year. The Titans are undefeated but Coach Bryan Case says they have to do a few little things better and he isn’t satisfied.

“Mix 94.5 “Central Iowa Area Showcase Game” Manson- NW Webster hosting IKM- Manning. IKM is coming off a decisive win over St. Edmond last week. Manson- NW Webster is trying to get things corrected and get back in the win column after dropping their last 4 in a row.

“92 Rock” 92.1 Fort vs Des Moines- Roosevelt at Drake University Stadium. The Dodgers coming off a heart breaking loss 24-21 at home to Southeast Polk in the district opener. That means this game is of paramount importance for the Dodgers to stay in the district title hunt and keep pace for the playoff race. Coach Matt Miller says regardless the magnitude the message to his team is the same.
