Area Softball & Baseball Report For 6-16: St. Edmond Pulls Out W Tuesday & Area Scores

St. Edmond Baseball got a win Tuesday at Rogers Park. The Gaels edged North Union 11-9. Grant Heldorfer led the way for St. Edmond. He had 3 hits, drove in two and was the winning pitcher. Gaels punded out 13 hits, getting two each from Joe Li , Emmanuel Perry and Peyton Scott. Perry had a pair of RBI’s. Hayden Derrig came in and closed the game, getting the save on the hill. St. Edmond is back in action on Wednesday at Iowa Falls-Alden.

East Sac County Softball edged MVAOCOU 8-7. ESC’s Mary Bontrager had two hits, scored twice, and drove in one. Teammate, Bree Boeckman belted a 2 run homer.

Algona Baseball cruised past Garner-Hayfield-Ventura 14-4. Algona’s Aaron Werings got the win on the hill, throwing 5 1/3 innings allowing two hits and three runs. Cam rindne had two hits and scored three times, Wyatt Streit had two hits and drove in three.
