Area Teams Compete At State Volleyball Tournament

Both Humboldt and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows were ina ction Monday at the State Tournament in Cedar Rapids. Humboldt fell in their State Quarterfinal Match to #1 Osgae. Wildcats dropped 3 straight sets 25-16,25-20, and 25-11. It was Humboldt’s first ever trip to the State Tournament in Volleyball, they finish the season at 33-4.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows won their Quarterfinal match downing Red Oak to improve to 28-2 on the season. They won in straight sets 25-13, 25-22 and and 25-19. The win gives Clarion-Goldfield-Dows their 2nd straight appearance in the State Semifinals. They’ll be back in Action Wednesday Afternoon taking on the winner of today’s match between Mt. Vernon vs Union.
