An arrest has been made in connection to an August 22nd shots fired incident in Fort Dodge. 19-year old Josh Hanrahan of Fort Dodge was taken into custody Tuesday evening by officers of the Quincy Illinois Police Department.

Officers investigating last month’s incident were able to identify Hanrahan as a suspect in the case. As their investigation continued, they discovered the suspect had fled the state. That’s when they began communicating with Quincy Police to narrow down the suspect’s location to an apartment complex.  Hanrahan is currently being held in the  Adams County (IL) Jail for outstanding warrants out of Illinois. Hanrahan will appear in Webster County Magistrate Court at a later date on the charges of

∙ Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (C Felony)

∙ Possession of a Firearm as a Felon (D Felony)

∙ Going Armed with Intent (D Felony)

∙ Violation of Probation – Original Charge of Carrying Weapons (Aggravated Misdemeanor) .

As with any case, Hanrahan is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
