Arrest Made In Monday’s Fatal Shooting In Marshalltown

A Marshalltown man has been arrested after police say he fatally shot a Marshalltown convenience store employee early Monday.  Marshalltown police, along with DCI agents, raided a Marshalltown  house Monday evening and arrested 20-year old Rocky Dean Trujillo on a number of charges including first degree murder.
Trujillo is accused of going into a Casey’s store ,about four blocks from where he was arrested and shooting store employee, 48-year old Michael West. West was still alive when officers arrived on the scene just after three AM Monday morning, but later died from a gunshot wound. Trujillo is being held in the Marshall County Jail. Marshalltown Police say the investigation into the shooting is continuing.
