Arrest Made In Weekend Shooting In Fort Dodge

An arrest has been made in the weekend shooting here in Fort Dodge. 18 year old Fort Dodge resident Denharrio K. Lewil is charged with attempted murder. Police say he shot an 18 year old female around 2 AM Sunday Morning. The shooting occurred in the 400 Block of South 14th St. Allegedly, Lewil opened fire with a handgun firing multiple times. The 18 year old victim was the only person injured in the incident. She was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. No update on the victim’s status was available at the time of this report.
