Asleep At The Wheel Driver Causes Two Vehicle Crash In Webster County

The Iowa State Patrol says, a driver that fell asleep at the wheel caused a two vehicle accident in Webster County on Wednesday. The  crash happened on Paragon Ave. just south of 150th St.

The accident report says that Max Angeles of Fort Dodge was driving southbound on Paragon Ave. when he fell asleep, crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle, Sharon Axness of Badger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Unity Point Fort Dodge.

The State Patrol says, the collision caused the vehicle driven by Angeles to end up in a ditch and it caught on fire. Angeles was ticketed for driving on the wrong side of the road, operating without a registration card and failure to provide proof of insurance.
