Before we know it, kids will be headed back to school. Like every year, there are a lot of costs associated with the beginning of the school year and a couple of area organizations are teaming up to help offset one big cost.
UnityPoint Health and Athletic for Education and Success are teaming up for the back to school new shoes program.
The program is open to students in 6th through 8th grades at the Fort Dodge Middle School, St. Paul, St. Edmond and Community Christian if they qualify for a free or reduced lunch
Vice President of Ancillary Services, Shannon McQuillen says last year was an incredible experience for everyone:
C- SHOES SHANNON
McQuillen says the need locally is huge and any businesses that would like to help contribute to buying one or a few pairs of shoes are encouraged to reach out to Unity Point or AFES.
