The combined city and school elections are taking place on November 5th around Webster County. Polls will be open from 7 am until 8 PM. Votes in the 1st precinct of Fort Dodge will now be casting their ballot at First Congregational United Church Of Christ at 16 11 Williams Drive and votes in the 12th precinct will now vote at Duncombe School. Several Fort Dodge City Council seats are up for election in the council at large race incumbent Neven Conrad faces challenger Melvin Newsome. In the race for ward 2 Justin Meyers squares off with Andy Fritz after councilman Dean Hill chose not to seek another term. In ward 3 incumbent Dave Flattery takes on challenger Richard Higgins. Terry Moehnke the incumbent for ward 1 and ward 4 incumbent Kim Alstott are running unopposed. Also on the city election ballot will be the question on whether the city of Fort Dodge will be allowed to create a municipal broadband utility.
