Coach Andi Adams has been the Head Coach of Fort Dodge Softball now for two decades. In that time, she has led the program to numerous State Tournament appearances. Last year, for the first time ever Adams and her squad played in the State Championship Finals. The Dodgers fell to a Cedar Rapids- Kennedy team who had 6 Seniors who are now on scholarship to play in college.
This year, Adams and her team know they are the odds on favorite. She talked with Rob Jones on the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner Show” Saturday morning on “Sunny 99.7”. During her visit, she talked about how the loss in the State Finals has motivated this team. She spoke about how this team understands the role of now being “the hunted” instead of the “hunter”.
The Dodgers open Monday night hosting Johnston in a double header at Rogers Park. Johnston was one of the few losses Fort Dodge had in 2020, as they split a double header at Johnston. You can hear both games of the twin bill, Monday starting with a 5 PM first pitch on “Sunny” 99.7 and here on our website.
