Coats For Kids Going On Now

Community Health Center Of Fort Dodge and Shimkat Motor Company have teamed up again for thie annual coat drive, “Coats For Kids”. They are seeking your help in fulfilling the need of warm winter gear for local children. Regina Suhbrier is the Outreach Coordinator for Community Health Center and she says they anticipate an increased need this year.

Donations of new or gently used coats, snow pants, gloves, hats and boots are being accpeted at multiple drop off locations around Fort Dodge. Those locations include Shimkat Motor Company, Coldwell Banker, Mineral City, Olde Boston, Sports Page and Pap Murphy’s Pizza. All sizes are needed from babies and toddlers to high schoolers. The collection will continue until Nov. 15th.

Cameron Nelson from Shimkat Motor Company says donors have even incorporated a new method in how to donate this year.

The Community Health Center will be holding a drive-thru distribution from 9 AM-12 PM on Nov. 21st, anyone in need of a childs coat can drive thru.
