A competency hearing is scheduled for next week for a Webster County man accused of murder. 36 year old Joshua Pendlton of Fort Dodge is accused of killing Rev. Al Henderson outside of St. Paul Lutheran Church in October. The competency hearing comes after a recent evaluation at The Iowa Medical Classification Center that concluded Pendelton “has been restored to competency”. Webster County Judge Gina Badding  found Pendelton incapable of standing trial in February after he had a psychiatric evaluation in January. Pendelton was diagnosed with schizophrenia 15 years ago and reportedly had not been taking his medication as scheduled for the last 5 years. The comptency hearing is set for Tuesday June 2nd at 1 PM.
