A man accused of committing a murder here in Fort Dodge in October was granted a competency hearing. 36 year old Fort Dodge resident Joshua Pendelton who is accused of murdering Reverend Al Henderson will undergo evaluation at the Iowa Medical And Classification Center in Oakdale to determine whether he is mentally competent. The hearing is scheduled for January 10th and the court plans to rule on whether the claim of mental incompetency has enough probable cause to suspend the criminal proceedings. Pendelton is facing 1st degree murder and 1st degree robbery after police say he killed Rev. Henderson Oct. 2nd  outside of the St. Paul Lutheran Church here in Fort Dodge.
