Covid-19 Testing At Webster County Residential Care Facilities

Webster County Public Health has been conducting large scale covid-19 testing at area facility Marian Home and has begun the same process at Friendship Haven. Testing at Marian Home began last week as public health tested all residents and staff of the facility. All of the testing done there came back negative, the facility had put proactive measures in place to help guard against the virus. They have not allowed visitors since early March. Friendship Haven announced Wednesday that one of their residents tested positive for covid-19. They have started testing for all residents and employees of the Simpson Health Center. News of the positive results was made public in a social media video by Friendship Haven CEO Julie Thorson. She said in the video that they plan to test everyone on their campus.
