Dallas County High School Student Dead Following Weekend Drowning Accident

A Dallas County High School student is dead after a weekend drowning incident.. Perry High School  has announced that Melanie Gonzalez, a Senior there drowned this weekend. Perry Principal Dan Marburg shared the tragic news on Saturday.

Perry High School plans to have grief counselors on campus Monday, Marburg said those services to  will be available to students. throughout the week and maybe longer.  Funeral arrangements for Gonzalez are expected to be announced in the near future.

As of the time of this report, details on the drowning incident were not available.
