Davidson Named New Fort Dodge Community Schools Executive Director of Educational Services

The Fort Dodge Community School District has named Fort Dodge native Aaron Davidson the Executive Director of Educational Services. In this role
Davidson will work closely with the superintendent to support the vision, mission, vales and
goals of the District while supporting administrators and other leaders.
“Aaron brings with him a wide range of knowledge and experiences from throughout his career,”
said Josh Porter, incoming superintendent. “He leads by example, hard work and dedication to
our staff and students. He has established himself as a leader both in our district and the Fort
Dodge community.”
Davidson has over 20 years of experience as a teacher, coach and building administrator. He
currently serves as the principal at Fort Dodge Middle School. Prior to that he was a principal at
Pocahontas Area and Pomeroy-Palmer school districts. His teaching experience includes time at
Phillips Middle School and Saint Edmond.
Throughout his career, Davidson has been involved in various organizations and teams including
as a member of the School Administrators of Iowa Executive Committee and the Representative
Council, member of the American School Leader Panel through the National Association of
Secondary School Principals and as a Leadership Coach for the Northwestern College Principal
Preparation Program. He was also recognized as a School Administrators of Iowa 2022 Middle
School Principal of the Year finalist.

Educational Services while supporting our outstanding administrators, staff, students, and
families,” Davidson said. “
Davidson will begin his role as Executive Director of Educational Services on July 1, 2023.
