Dead Body Found In Fort Dodge Over The Weekend

A dead body was discovered in Fort Dodge over the weekend. Saturday afternoon, a passer by reportedly found the body of a man. The body was found in the outside walk in cooler area of the Old Lomita’s building on South 25th St.

After discovering the deceased, the passer by then went to a nearby business and asked them to call 911. Fort Dodge Police along with Fort Dodge Fire Rescue responded, as did the Webster County Coroner’s Office.

The identity of the man has not been released. The deceased has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. did confirm the discovery of the body on Saturday. However, as of the time of this report they have not released any further information.
