Deadly Weekend Fire Victim Identified

The victim of the deadly weekend apartment fire in Fort Dodge has been identified. 67 year old Jeanne Miller was pronounced dead on the scene after being found unresponsive. Fort Dodge Fire Rescue was dispatched to 629 Central Avenue shortly after 2 PM Sunday Afternoon after a resident reported smoke in the building. According to Fire Dept. Personnel the smoke alarm in Miller’s apartment did go off. An autopsy is planned on Miller to determine her official cause of death. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
