Des Moines Public Schools Vote To Join Fort Dodge & Others In Leaving The CIML

The process of forming a new conference for a group of current CIML members, has now taken a major step forward. The Des Moines Public School have now voted and intend on leaving the league.

The Five Des Moines Public Schools (Lincoln, Roosevelt, Hoover, East and North) now join Fort Dodge, Marshalltown, Mason City and Ottumwa in voting to leave. The Des Moines Schools are founding members of the CIML.

With that announcement, 9 of the 10 proposed new conference members have voted to leave the CIML. The Ames School Board has not voted yet, they are set to meet Monday Night.
