Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Fort Dodge Monday Morning

A motorcycle accident Monday Morning here in Fort Dodge resulted in a fatality. The Fort Dodge Police Dept. released a statement saying they were dispatched shortly after 7 AM to the area of Hawkeye Ave.and 2nd St NW. Emergency Personnel arrived and found a man lying unresponsive in a grassy area, he was pronounced dead at the scene. They determined that the man lost control of the motorcycle and hit a tree. The Iowa State Patrol has been contacted to handle the accident investigation, authorities are unsure what time the accident occurred. The man is said to be in his twenties, but his identity has not yet been released. Anyone with information concerning the accident is urged to contact the Fort Dodge PD.
