FD City Council Votes To Re-Open Water Crossings At Snell-Crawford Park

The Fort Dodge City Council voted Monday Night to re-open the water crossings at Snell-Crawford Park. The issue has been under consideration by the council and was heavily supported by the FD Rotary Club. Several members of that the club spoke in favor of the re-opening at a workshop on the subject that proceeded the council meeting. The vote to reopen the water crossings passed unanimously. The Director Fort Dodge Parks & Rec.  Lori Branderhorst opposed the idea and she cited possible liability issues with opening the water crossings. The crossings are currently closed and won’t re-open immediately but the plan calls for them to re-open in the future.
