FD Man Arrested After Being Found Asleep At Wheel With Child Also Sleeping In Vehicle

A Webster County man was arrested in Humboldt County just after 12 AM on Wednesday. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a vehicle stopped on the wrong side of the highway on Lone Tree Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man asleep at the wheel and a small child sleeping in the back of the vehicle. The man was identified as 31 year old Jacob Baardson of Fort Dodge. He is charged with OWI 3rd offense, possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment, driving while revoked, open container and introducing controlled substances into a correctional facility.
