FD Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident In Loomis Park Wednesday Night

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. is investigating an incident of shots fired Wednesday Night. The Police Dept. issued a statement Thursday Morning that said they were called out around 10:15 PM Wednesday Night to Loomis Park. Upon arrival, officers spoke to multiple people who heard what they believe were gun shots. Officers found evidence that shots were fired in the park. Police then discovered a vehicle at the intersection of 15th Ave. North and North 8th St. that had been damaged by gunfire. The vehicle was occupied by a 17 year old girl during the incident she sustained minor injuries from broken glass, no other injuries were reported. Police believe that two groups of people were in the park and one group fired shots at the other as they drove away. Police believe this is an isolated incident and said their is no information that indicates this incident is related to the Tuesday Morning shooting here in Fort Dodge.
