Five People Charged In June Shooting That Killed Two & Injured Two Others

Five People have been charged in the June shooting here in Fort Dodge that left two people dead and two others injured. A statement released Thursday Morning from the Fort Dodge PD says an investigation has been ongoing since the shooting the morning of June 16th on 10th Ave. Southwest. Three of the 5 men wanted in conjunction with the shooting have been apprehended and two others remain at large. The three that have been arrested are 55 year old Michael J. Shovers of Eagle Grove, 35 year Old Jamal C. Davis and 23 year old Darrell L. Jones both of Fort Dodge. The two still at large are 33 year old Michael J. Wells and 22 year old Jeremiha R. Hatten both of Fort Dodge. All five of the suspects are charged with two counts of 2nd degree murder and four of the 5 are charged with felon in possession of a firearm. The June 16th shooting resulted in the death of 25 year old Jamal Cox and 47 year old Tyrone Cunningham both of Fort Dodge. The shooting alos resulted in the injury of two women, 21 year old Marissa Andrews of Fort Dodge, 30 year old Wesley resident Jayne Bartrom. The statement from the FDPD says that at this point, police believe the victims were all bystanders and that those charged were shooting at one another.
