Fleener Announces Run For Sheriff Of Webster County

Webster County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Luke Fleener was a guest on “Devine Intervention” with Mike Devine on KVFD AM 1400. During his appearance he announced that he will be running for Sheriff of Webster County. Current Sheriff Jim Stubbs has announced he is retiring and will not seek re-election. Fleener is a Dayton native who has been in law enforcement since the early 90’s. He started with Webster County in 1995 as a patrol then worked narcotics. Fleener says he thinks narcotics is the best job in law enforcement because it deals with problems facing the community from the inside out. Fleener says he feels he’s the right choice saying ” I’m the person who can lead our department into the future, we’ve done a lot of great things to this point and I’m the one who can take us even farther. He feels his background and experience are the right fit for the job, for 11 years Fleener has trained officers on how to deal with active shooters.  Fleener says he feels that voters should look outside of partisan lines when voting for Sheriff and pick the candidate the can best protect and serve the people in Webster County.
