Former Dodgers Impressive On The College Mat This Weekend

Former Fort Dodge wrestlers were impressive on the college mat this weekend. For UNI, Brody Teske claimed the Big 12 Title this weekend at 125. Teske won the conference crown with a thrilling 8-7 win in the Conference Finals. Teske trailed late but a reveral in the clsoing seconds gave him the win.

His teammate Triston lara took 5th at the Big 12 Championships at 149. Lara lost in the Semifinals to Oklahoma State All-American Boo Lewallen. Both Lara and Teske have now qualified for the NCAA Nationals.

Carson Taylor now a Freshman at Grandview had a strong showing over the weekend as well. Taylor wrestling at 133, finished 4th at the NAIA National Championships. Taylor has earned NAIA All-American honors as a Freshman. His strong performance helped Grandview finish 2nd in the nation as a team.
