Utley was a guest on the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” on “Sunny” 99.7 on Saturday to preview the upcoming season. Utley will have some new faces as he lost Seniors who were key contributors in 2020 like Mason Bockoven, Nice Bice, Brycen Bell and the Cone Brothers. Utley does have some key pieces returning like Tyler Schreier who hit over .400 in 2020 and had over 20 stolen bases. He also returns the super versatile Dylan Zimmerman, Carson Peterson who had a good campaign on the mound last season,  and Jace Ulrich is back at First Base after hitting well over. 300 in 2020. Utley talked about Sawyer Springer who returns but is fighting injuries suffered during football. He also talked about the addition of Christian Davidson. He was a two time All State Pitcher at Pocahontas Area who has now transferred to Fort Dodge for his Senior season.

The Dodgers open on Monday hosting Johnston at Mcneil Field. The entire conversation with Coach Utley is below.
