Fort Dodge Boys Fall In Playoffs To Hoover

The Fort Dodge Boys fell Monday night at Hoover in the 1st round of the playoffs, 60-40. A cold shooting night plagued Fort Dodge, as they were able to get good shots but unable to convert. It was a defensive struggle early and Fort Dodge hung around trailing 9-6 after the 1st. Hoover would start to find their rhythm in the 2nd quarter outscoring Fort Dodge 17-8 in the frame. They took a 26-14 lead into the halftime locker room after a 3 to end the first half. Hoover would maintain that pace in the 3rd with an 18-11 advantage to take a commanding 44-25 lead after 3.  The Dodgers lone Senior Averey Martin had a team high 15 in his final game for Fort Dodge. He was the lone Dodger in double figures. Hoover had 4 in double digits, led by a game high 17 from Senior Manny Austin. His classmate Jaden Loveless had 12 including three made 3’s. Hoover’s Sophomore duo of Guard Chase Henderson and Forward Elijah Vos combined for 29 points in the game. With the loss the Dodgers conclude their season with two wins.
