Fort Dodge City Council To Discuss Future Of State Softball Tournament On Monday

The Fort Dodge City Council is set to meet Monday night. A major item on the agenda to be discussed is the State Softball tournament. The Council is set to vote on a proposal to continue the city’s partnership with IGHSAU.

The proposal would keep the State Softball Tournament at Rogers Park in Fort Dodge through at least 2025. The economic boom and good publicity that State Softball brings have often been selling points to hosting the tournament.

Fort Dodge has hosted the State Softball Tournament every year since 1970.
