Fort Dodge City Manager David Fierke On Animal Control Issues

Fort Dodge City Manager David Fierke was recently a guest on “Devine Intervention” with Mike Devine on KVFD AM 1400. During that appearance, Fierke spoke about the issues of animal control that have spawned a petition from a portion of residents in Fort Dodge. Fierke opened his comments on the subject explaining the details of Fort Dodge and Webster County sharing one animal control officer.

Fierke went on to talk about the details of the commitment involved in the animal control contract.

Fierke said that some of the animal control calls are neglect issues. He says most of those are caused by a lack responsibility from the animal owner.
