On Wednesday Fort Dodge Senior WR and 2 time all state 1st team selection Tysen Kershaw signed his letter of intent yesterday to play football at UNI . Kershaw originally had verbally committed to the University of South Dakota. On Monday Kershaw announced via twitter that he had decommitted from The University Of South Dakota and was committing to UNI. He made that committment official yesterday signing his letter of intent at Fort Dodge Senior high with his parents by his side. UNI head coach Mark Farley made a last push to try and sway Kershaw and that effort led Kershaw to sign with the Panthers. Kershaw said he took an official visit there and the current players were very positive about the program and that UNI’s highly regarded business school was another major factor as he plans to major in business. Kershaw will become the 1st Fort Dodge football player to join the UNI program in 23 years.
