Fort Dodge Man Arrested On Drug Related Warrant

34 year old Fort Dodge resident Morquett B. Jackson was arrested yesterday on a warrant issued in December. Back in November Fort Dodge Police arrested Jackson after a chase during an attempted traffic stop. Police launched an investigation after the November arrest, that investigation led to officers locating substantial amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana. After locating drugs in that investigation a warrant was issued for Jackson on Christmas Eve. Yesterday Fort Dodge Police performed a traffic stop on Jackson and arrested him on that warrant. Jackson is charged with multiple felonies including two controlled substance violations and failure to affix tax stamp. During yesterday’s traffic stop officers found additional illegal narcotics and charges on Jackson are pending from that incident.
