Fort Dodge PD Investigating Sunday Shots Fired Incident

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. is investigating a shots fired incident from over the weekend. Police were dispatched around 2 PM on a report of shots fired. The report stated that shots were fired from one vehicle towards another vehicle in the 2000 block of 5th Ave South.

Police say, the suspect vehicle fled before they arrived. Upon arrival they found a vehicle that has been hit by gunfire, but none of the occupants had been hit in the incident.

A few hours later, officers found the suspect vehicle on North 19th St. The vehicle was held as evidence in the investigation.

No arrests have been announced as of the time of this report. No injuries were reported in the incident. Anyone with information regarding the incident os encouraged to contact the Fort Dodge Police Dept.
